With over 40 years’ experience in travel, I’ve learnt a lot about the industry and continue to learn new and exciting things today. Having spent more than 25 years with Camberley Travel, I enjoy an excellent relationship with a wonderful group of regular customers, and enjoy passing on my travel experiences, as well as learning from their adventures.
I’m fortunate to have enjoyed a wealth of travel, through educational trips and my own holidays, which allows me to provide first-hand insight into a range of destinations and tour operators, which I feel our customers appreciate.
If I was to choose a ‘top 3’ (which is a tough ask!) I would say South Africa, Canada and the Maldives, each wonderful destinations, in their own unique way. Costa Rica, Sri Lanka and Peru are also high on my list!!
The ultimate family fun destination, Florida really does cater for all ages, from the magic of Disney, to the adrenaline-fuelled attractions for the older kids.
The Great Wall, Beijing, the Terracotta Warriors, the pandas, Shanghai, the Li and Yellow rivers… China has a wealth of incredible experiences.
The wildlife the country boasts is extraordinary, and you’ll never forget your first safari experience. Cape Town has to be one of the most picturesque cities in the world and, not far away, the Cape Winelands offer a stunning landscape to enjoy incredible wines and fine dining.
From the beaches and coastal villages to historical gems and wonderful lakes and mountains, it’s a place that keeps drawing you back. And I’ve not mentioned the food…
Canada has a lot to offer, from the spectacular Rocky Mountaineer train and the views of the Banff and Jasper national parks, to the incredible Niagara Falls and Whistler, the scenery is fantastic. And the cities are great, too. Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal are known for being modern, welcoming cities with plenty to do.
You can learn as much about a city’s culture from sitting in a local café and watching the world go by as you might visiting a museum. Likewise, it’s quite rewarding to walk around cities instead of getting the Metro, and visit places like local markets to get a real taste of the city.
